Personal Notes
Ten years ago, I decided to create a financial education program for children.
I found it surprising that these concepts were still not being taught in schools. I invited a couple of kids to my house, and that’s how my journey in the world of financial education began.
From that moment on, everyone started talking to me about their relationship with money and their lack of financial knowledge. The phrase I heard the most was: “I wish they had taught me this in school…” People asked me to explain financial concepts in a simple way. “If you can explain it to kids, I’m sure you can explain it to me too…” That’s when I realized how little financial confidence many women had.
I came to see that almost everyone lacked financial knowledge. So, I started teaching. I led finance courses for women entrepreneurs, created a course on how to start investing, and was asked for help with personal finances. But I noticed something interesting: while some people experienced major transformations, others remained stuck.
Over time, I understood that the relationship with money is not just a matter of knowledge. Each person has a unique and personal connection with money. This relationship affects their behavior, their willingness to take action and learn, and even their ability to listen to advice.
Following my training with NFEC, I became a better financial educator and found answers to many questions I had been struggling with. The training helped me gain clarity and confidence in my work. I am incredibly grateful and excited to now be a qualified educator and a member of a community of like-minded individuals who share the same passion for financial empowerment.
I feel most fulfilled when I inspire change. I empower people through financial education, but I find the most transformational impact when working with women. Seeing them gain confidence in their financial decisions gives them greater freedom and inspires them to pass on this empowerment to others, creating a lasting ripple effect.
