Southern California native, I grew up on the mean streets of Compton, California. In a community where money, finances, and budgeting weren’t part of the educational curriculum, I learned through trial and error—experiencing firsthand how these gaps affected my adult life. The impact of not understanding how to manage money was profound and shaped many of my decisions. As I progressed through adulthood, I realized that this lack of financial literacy wasn’t unique to me. It was a common struggle that many people faced. So, in the later years of my life, I made a bold decision to pursue an advanced degree in Accounting. It was during this journey that I fully understood the extent to which financial education was lacking in our communities, and how this knowledge could empower individuals to make better choices for their future. This revelation led me to create The Number Fairy, a project born out of a deep desire to close the financial literacy gap—one participant at a time. I am passionate about helping people from all walks of life gain a clear understanding of money, budgeting, and finances. Whether through workshops, one-on-one coaching, or online resources, my mission is to empower others to take control of their financial futures, learn essential money management skills, and ultimately break free from the cycle of financial struggles. The Number Fairy is more than just a name—it’s a symbol of transformation, empowerment, and hope. It’s about providing individuals the knowledge they need to rewrite their financial stories and build a future free of financial stress and uncertainty.
