Hafsat Itanola
Financial Services Professional & Financial Literacy Advocate

Personal Notes
I learned the hard way that money can either be your greatest tool or your greatest source of strength. Despite being an Accounting graduate and a Chartered Accountant, I was never taught how to translate my technical knowledge into my own personal life.
Relocating from my hometown in Northern Nigeria to the bustling city of Lagos exposed me to the harsh realities of financial struggles. That experience sparked my journey toward financial responsibility, and as I worked to improve my own finances, I couldn’t ignore the huge financial literacy gap, and the impact it was having on young people like myself.
Over the years, I have empowered others to take control of their finances through workshops, community programs, and relatable, hands-on education. To deliver this work at the highest standard, I became a Certified Financial Education Instructor (CFEI), dedicated to advancing financial literacy across Africa.
My ultimate purpose is to see financial literacy embedded in academic curricula across the continent, so that every young person has the tools to make money work for them and not stress them.
