Only 35% of adults in the United States have a basic understanding of personal finance. Within the past few years, Americans have lost $415 billion because of poor financial literacy. Moreover, 87% of teenagers in the US admit not understanding their finances. My mission is to increase financial literacy awareness in K-12 schools, organizations, colleges, and communities; help individuals, employees, and families make better financial decisions, eliminate debt, improve their credit, and reduce financial stress by developing a financial plan to implement budgeting, savings, short-and-long term goals, preparing for retirement, and college education strategies for their children. Financial literacy is the cornerstone of personal growth, which contributes to financial empowerment in our society.

Dr. Anita Smith is a Certified Financial Education Instructor (CFEI), author, and entrepreneur. Dr. Smith’s background in the financial and government industry for over 28 years, coupled with extensive training in personal finance, financial management, budgeting, accounting, insurance, annuities, etc., has equipped her to possess unique skill sets that addresses the diverse needs of clients holistically.
Dr. Smith is an award-winning author of her newly published book entitled, “You Can Make It: How to Start Living Your Victorious Life.” She has been featured as a guest on the Women’s Speaker Association television show and podcasts speaking on leadership and adversity topics and featured on various radio stations speaking on finance topics. She is a guest writer/contributor for numerous magazines in the USA and the UK, writing financial, divorce recovery, and self-development articles.
