Personal Notes

How does a girl from a small South Carolina town, raised in low-income housing, achieve a dream life? Ten-year-old me would have scoffed at the very idea. Twenty-year-old me, though secretly harboring that dream, would have nervously laughed, unsure of how it could ever become reality.

My early understanding of money was limited to the constant struggle of budgeting to stretch every dollar, even if I wasn’t always successful. After college, my financial knowledge barely extended beyond getting paid and paying bills.

I made my share of mistakes: tanked credit, accumulated debt, and navigated a relationship with an equally financially irresponsible ex-husband. But I eventually began to rebuild my life, starting with leaving that toxic marriage.

Now, remarried with one child in college and one at home, my husband of twenty years and I have learned to be financially responsible and build wealth. We’re living the life our parents sacrificed for, and I’m passionate about helping others achieve their dreams and create generational wealth.
