Yvonne Moore, Financial Literacy Advocate

Personal Notes

Financial education became a passion for me after friends and clients constantly kept asking me about how to budget their money, save for the future, improve their credit scores, and explore retirement options. Business owners would ask for assistance with their marketing budget, keeping it low while still attracting new clients. After speaking with these individuals, I realized I can make a financial difference for people to meet their personal and business goals. Financial education plays a major part in everyone’s life and I am pleased that I am there to assist as many individuals as possible.

Bio

Yvonne Moore is an NFEC Certified Financial Education Instructor℠.

Yvonne has been doing public speaking for about four years. Her speaking has touched many people lives who thought they would never own a home. She speaks about Financial Education and the importance to changing the mindset to get difference results. As a single parent, she understands the struggle of many women who must decide between eating the entire week or if her child will get the new shoes that she/he really needs. Through her own struggles of moving up the corporate ladder and then into entrepreneurship, she knows and understands the sacrifices that have to be made on a daily basis.

Yvonne is a member of the National Financial Educators Council.

Yvonne enjoys speaking with anyone about financial education, because it affects every age group. It affects young children saving for that toy they want, it affects teenagers saving for the car they desire, it affects college students. She believes if people are taught financial education at a young age, then adults would have less debt and better planning for their retirement.

Even though she enjoys speaking to everyone about financial literacy, her target market is single moms, because each day is a new struggle when you do not understand your finances.

Yvonne is also passionate about business owners and financial education because many business owners do not understand finance before or while they are running a business. She loves speaking with business owners on how to decrease their marketing budget while attracting new clients.

She is the owner of Be Wise Marketing, LLC, www.bewisemarketing.com, a marketing company that she started to help business owners increase their online presence on a small budget.

She has spoken at NAACP events, town meetings, Kwanzaa events, and marketing training events for business owners. She volunteers with Junior Achievement, which she loves because students can take the budgeting knowledge they learn through that program and share it with their parents.

Yvonne motto‘s is to have a Plan B.

Plan B is a speaking topic because of a personal tragedy, helping her to understand that without a Plan B, your financial situation can change overnight.

She constantly stays passionate about public speaking on financial education. It change peoples living situation for the better, decreases divorce rates (money is the number one reason for divorce), and reduces blood pressure and stress levels. Many people and business owners worry about their financial situation.

According to Yvonne, we teach our children to not do drugs, wear a seat belt while driving, and no sex before marriage. This is awesome advice. Yet, we do not teach them about staying out of debt, balancing a check book, about investing for the future, entrepreneurship, or how important medical benefits are to their health.

Her goal is to educate people on how learning about Financial Education can give them opportunities and change their mindset for a better future.

Yvonne is a passion speaker and she speaks from the heart and from personal experiences.
