Born in Brooklyn, NY, and raised in the Bronx by her Dominican and Puerto Rican parents, Sonia Diaz is a true example of what can happen when you invest in your future and convince yourself that you have what it takes to become successful. As a young child, Sonia had to quickly adapt, learning to speak in both Spanish and English before entering grade school. Although her parents did not graduate from High School, they deeply ingrained the values of education and hard work within her. Because of these values, Sonia went on to become a first-generation college graduate, obtaining a Bachelor of Science Degree in Management Marketing from the State University of New York at Binghamton, and a Master of Science Degree in Health Services Management from The New School for Social Research (NSSR).

Sonia began her career within the hospital and health plan arena as a Managed Healthcare professional where she served for over 25 years. In 2007, Sonia became a licensed life, health, and annuity Financial Advisor for New York Life, where she was awarded the Career Long Term Care Success and Star Awards within her first 6 months.

Today, Sonia is the co-founder of RS Financial Services, an award-winning family-owned and operated insurance agency based in Tamarac, FL providing high-quality financial literacy education to the masses, helping clients reach their financial goals and build generational wealth regardless of age or income level.

Sonia is an NFEC Certified Financial Education Instructor, a Licensed 2-15 Life, Health and Annuity Financial Advisor.

Sonia is a proud member of the Broward County Alumnae Chapter of Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, Inc. and she resides in Fort Lauderdale, FL.
