I am a financial feminist wielding financial literacy in the face of gender-based vulnerabilities amongst women in Africa. My mission is to improve women’s lives through access to and use of financial services through knowledge and a custom ecosystem that allows women to thrive.
Bio
Solape Akinpelu is an NFEC Certified Financial Education Instructor.
Solape Akinpelu is the founder of HerVest, a social enterprise based in Lagos, providing financial inclusion for women and women-owned businesses in Lagos, Nigeria. The company has at its core the mission to improve women’s lives by giving access to and use of financial services.
Solape is pro SDG5 and SDG10 (Sustainable Development Goals for ending gender and income inequality). She believes in achieving gender equality and reducing inequality through financial literacy and access. Solape’s led HerVest teaches girls and women financial literacy as well as offer them free mentoring in other socio-economic areas through a network of volunteer, experienced women professionals.
She is a financial feminist with over eight (8) years’ of consummate experience in marketing communications.
