Personal Notes
When I look back on my education journey, I realize how little I was taught about managing money. From kindergarten to graduate school, there wasn’t a single course dedicated to financial literacy. It’s like they assumed we’d just figure it out on our own! As a result, I had to learn everything about personal finance through trial and error, which wasn’t always easy.
Looking back, I really wish there had been a class on Financial Literacy before I landed my first job. It would have made a huge difference in my financial situation. But you know what they say, experience is the best teacher, and that’s how I ended up learning the ropes.
Now, as a teacher and mentor, I’m determined to change the game for my students. I don’t want anyone else to go through the same struggle. So, I took matters into my own hands and created a Financial Literacy course. My mission is to educate and enlighten high school students about managing their finances wisely.
I want to reach as many students as possible, not just in high school but also in college. Financial education is so crucial, yet it’s often overlooked. With my course, I hope to empower young minds and equip them with the knowledge they need to make informed financial decisions.
Imagine a future where every student, before they step into the real world, understands the importance of budgeting, saving, investing, and avoiding debt traps. That’s the future I’m striving for, one where financial literacy becomes an essential part of every young person’s education.
It’s a small step, but I believe it can create a ripple effect, changing lives and shaping better financial futures for generations to come. So, join me on this journey as we spread the knowledge and power of financial literacy to all corners of the high school and college world! Together, we can make a real difference.
