As technology advances and changes the world around us younger generations are learning and adopting differently. Financial literacy is one of the most important topics, anybody can learn but I fear that we are lacking the technology integration in today’s teaching. Young Millennials and Gen-Z audiences are always looking for the easier technological based solutions. I love giving my audience the motivation to quantify their goals while using technology to execute. I am so excited to have the opportunity to work with you and spread the message of financial literacy.

Bio

Mykail James is an NFEC Certified Financial Education Instructor.

Mykail “The Boujie Budgeter” is the founder of Boujie Budgets, LLC, an online platform dedicated to teaching Millennial and Gen Z professionals how to finance their best lives. She has a fresh new take on how today’s young professionals should think about their money and finances. Her teachings use pop-culture references and relatable language to help her audience understand confusing money concepts such as; student loan repayment, budgeting, saving, and investing. The goal is to make positive money moves while still controlling your finances, because you can only live your best life when it is properly financed!

Since beginning her career as a financial literacy educator and advocate in 2019, Mykail has worked with organizations such as Howard University Trio Program as well as public schools within the District of Colombia, Maryland, and Northern Virginia Metropolitan area. She has curated workshops and interactive lectures.

Mykail is a first-generation college graduate from the Washington, DC area. She received both her Bachelor’s and Master’s in Business Administration with a concentration in accounting from Hampton University in Hampton, Virginia. She returned to the Washington, DC metro area to pursue her passion to educate, motivate, and inspire others to create the life they desire. She is a Certified Financial Literacy Instructor through the National Financial Education Council. As an instructor, Mykail has worked with individuals, businesses, and non-profit
organizations.
