Bio

Mia Harrison- Fagan, CFEI, is a passionate entrepreneur who likes nothing better than to start new businesses and make them profitable. She is continuously creating and developing new business opportunities, especially in the financial service industry. Mia’s entrepreneurial spirit was apparent from an early age. By the time she was 12 years old she had launched her first small business selling baked goods. That business early on taught her about profit, loss and savings which led her to be interested in learning more about money. After graduating high school from Heritage Academy in Metairie, La, Mia started her college education at Southern University and later transferred to Tulane University where she studied Business and Accounting. Mia wanted to dive right in the workforce so before getting a chance to complete her degree program she was offered a position at a prestigious accounting firm in the greater New Orleans Area.

The variety of businesses she has owned includes First Class Financial Solutions LLC., a tax preparation, tax planning and financial coaching firm. The Money Management Academy, a financial education learning suite, Living in Luxury, a short-term rental company and Making Innovative Artist management LLC., an artist and talent management company. Most recently, she received the professional designation Certified Financial Education Instructor. or CFEI where she now focuses most of her attention on promoting and educating others on financial literacy.

Mia Harrison-Fagan’s favorite part of being an entrepreneur is flexibility, because it allows her to focus on her bubbly 4-year-old and charismatic husband. Also, the fact that she makes her on schedule is a lot of fun!

Despite her busy business career Mia makes time to be involved with community and professional organizations. She sits on the board of directors for Take the Lead, a non profit organization, which focuses on youth empowerment and career development. She’s also on the board of directors for Early Entrepreneurs Program, an organization that introduces the idea of entrepreneurship and encourages youth to start their very own business.
