Personal Notes

An investment in knowledge pays the best interest! So why not invest in becoming financially literate? I was raised in a community where being financially literate was the furthest thing from my mind. We just were trying to survive. The true definition of the phrase would not cross my path for the first 30 years of my life. Society, your community, and schools, teach you how to work for money but never tell you what to do with that earned income. This is why I felt it was important to start teaching students in the inner city about becoming financially literate. I also felt it was important to educate them on some of the financial challenges they are going to face. It is essential for them to understand and address the economic issues that disproportionately affect their demographics due to systemic policies. You are your own asset. As cliché as it is, knowledge is power. Investing in learning about financial literacy is the greatest thing you can do for you and your future. This is my goal to spread knowledge and awareness to the communities I know and love.
