Izzy Oneiric

Financial Literacy Advocate

Personal Notes

In 2014, I discovered a book on personal finance in a Little Free Library that transformed my life. Clueless about money and fresh out of a bad relationship, I learned that developing money management skills and taking control of my finances improved every aspect of my life—not only did my bank account benefit, but my confidence, personal relationships, career, and health flourished as well. And it was actually fun! Years ago I incurred substantial student loan debt for my bachelor’s and first master’s degrees, but I recently earned my second master’s degree completely debt free! Over the years word got out that I was “good with money” and people sought my advice on money management. I’ve helped people create budgets, calculate interest rates, and devise debt reduction strategies. Helping others gain confidence and work toward their goals is an incredible feeling.
