Catherine Van Der Laan is an NFEC Certified Financial Education Instructor.

As the founder, instructor, and coach at Saver Street, Catherine is passionate about financial education for Christians and pre-Christians. She’s a minister’s wife and is seeking her own minister’s credentials in the Assemblies of God church. If every Christian tithed, we could 1) end world hunger, 2) provide clean water for everyone on earth, 3) eliminate illiteracy, 4) fully fund all missions work, 5) pay our pastors better, and have hundreds of billions of dollars left over to do God’s will here on earth. Yes, God owns the cattle on a thousand hills. Yes, God will provide. God also calls us to put Him first and to take care of widows and orphans out of our own means. Let’s partner together to provide financial literacy to Christians throughout the English-speaking world. Let’s fulfill the Great Commission by putting on financial literacy outreach programs for your community. Let’s make space to pray, submit, love, give, and serve. Let’s put our worries at Jesus’s feet and put together systems for our finances, so we’re giving and loving and hoping and serving. Catherine is a passionate, God-fearing speaker. She loves people and serves them as her own family. She’s not afraid to call everyone to action. Catherine Van Der Laan is a Christian who loves Jesus and has a deep passion for helping others learn how to manage their money responsibly. She is an avid advocate for financial literacy and believes financial education should be accessible to everyone, especially those within the Christian community. With her experience in financial coaching, leadership, preaching, teaching, learning design, and technology, Catherine has been able to create an online space where users can find valuable tools and resources that help them understand the basics of personal finance from a Christian perspective. By providing educational materials and guidance on budgeting, investing, credit management, retirement planning, and more — all from a faith-based point of view — Catherine strives to make it easier for Christians to reach their financial goals and give beyond their wildest dreams.
