Personal Notes
How different would your life be if you no longer worried about money? Where would you go? What would you experience? What would you buy? How would you live? I started reevaluating these very questions after launching a business entirely on debt. I felt the effects of needing to be successful in order pay it off, which led to family, spiritual, emotional, and health stressors. With a desire for a better way and reexamining my values, I redesigned my entire lifestyle to become debt free at the age of 25. A passion for others to achieve that same freedom led me to create resources, share stories, and to educate and inform others on how to build a solid foundation, enabling them to take control of their lives. I now help others have the confidence to say that the number in their bank account does not control them or define them, there is life beyond financial stressors, and that we are all called to steward our lives and money a better way. Freedom isn’t free, but it sure is worth it. You are worth it.

Adrian Hildebrand is an NFEC Certified Financial Education Instructor, podcaster, blogger, Financial Coach, and self-proclaimed money nerd with a passion for helping others realign their finances to live a fulfilled, rich life. Her and her husband, Kyle, reside in Columbus, Indiana with their two dogs, Milo and Marley. Her enthusiastic love of personal finance and serving others goes along with her principle that money talk does not require a degree, nor a high IQ; anyone can be successful at achieving success with the right tools. Her faith-based principles, practical skills, and budgeting system allowed her to pay off over $20K in debt within two years’ time, even when her household income was just under $30K. By living off of 40% of their income, Adrian and Kyle see the miracle of giving and living below their means in action. From her own experience, she has developed a system to help others achieve their goals. Her ideals show that the power of behavior can be transformed, habits changed, and mindset reconstructed in a way where financial healing will be a positive journey instead of a life full of “just getting by”. Using finances as a tool, her model is intertwined with intentional living, value-aligned spending, and Biblical stewardship. She enjoys teaching financial literacy to young adults and teens but also strives to provide free resources to anyone seeking changes to their financial situation. Her blog and podcast, Faith in Finance, reaches hundreds of people searching for a Biblical approach to heal broken financial situations, a little humor, and tangible tidbits leading to a rich life.
