Personal Notes
I believe financial literacy is for all walks of life, regardless of your economic status and background. The main cause of financial distress is lack of proper training and education. This is why I am passionate and excited about educating others to empower and to change their lives. I want to create awareness so people can take the right path in their financial decisions. I am here to help, whether you are an immigrant or a young adult. Whether you have a low income or are wealthy, we all need the power of education. Let’s get in touch.
Bio
Beza Asrat is a passionate financial literacy advocate, coach, and NFEC Certified Personal Financial Wellness Consultant. She graduated from the University of Massachusetts, Boston, with a degree in management and a concentration in accounting. She is also a certified public accountant (CPA).
Her mission is to educate and empower others with simple personal finance tools and knowledge to help people achieve their financial goals. As a coach, she helps her clients to develop a positive mindset and a good habit to become financially fit.
Beza was inspired to move into the personal finance space because she needed a financial education. As an immigrant, she had no financial information when she first moved to the United States; however, after she taught herself personal finance concepts, she was able to pay off her student loan within three years and learned how to live by a budget and how to meet her financial goals. Now, with her finance background and personal experience, she wants to make a difference in others’ lives, especially immigrants and young adults, by actively advocating financial literacy and educating as many people as possible.
She has been involved in various organizations such as Junior Achievement and David Ramsey’s Financial Peace University, and she has been coordinating financial literacy workshops in her community and church groups. She also voluntarily serves as a coach to equip and empower others.
Beza enjoys sharing wisdom on money matters on her social media platforms and in workshops and events she hosts.
