Originally trained as a psychologist, and now a licensed associate real estate broker in New York, Alison draws upon her counseling and data analysis experience to help clients successfully navigate the complex real estate market with minimal stress.
Alison McQueen shows her community championship by exhibiting strong values of transparency, integrity, sound research, and consumer advocacy. McQueen spearheads efforts to bring complimentary financial wellness resources to her NYC neighbors and across the state of New York. Through her business, she teaches monthly seminars to first-time home buyers aimed at providing facts and guidance to facilitate their home purchases. National trade organizations and The Corcoran Group have presented Alison with multiple awards over the past decade. Her guides and opinions have been featured in top publications including The New York Times, 6sqft, Brownstoner, Brick Underground, and USA Today Homefront.
Company History
Alison McQueen has had a rich and diverse career. She earned an MA in Psychology, Mental Health and Substance Abuse Counseling, in 2010 from The New School for Social Research in New York City and her Credential in Alcoholism and Substance Abuse Counseling from New York State in 2012. Further, Alison is a classically trained musician who has taught clarinet, flute, and saxophone to students of all skill levels. She also holds a Certificate in Editing from the New York University of Continuing and Professional Studies.
After developing two other successful sole proprietorships, McQueen established her real estate sales business in 2014. She is nationally recognized for exceptional transactional volume and total closed dollar amounts. Alison assumes full responsibility for strategizing her business’s growth, reputation, and profit. In doing so, she melds together her backgrounds in psychology, counseling, and data analysis to guide clients through the highly competitive New York residential real estate landscape.
Recently, Alison completed a rigorous course at The Wharton School of the University of Pennsylvania titled “Executive Education: Women on Boards, Building Exceptional Leaders.” She also received her International Board Director Competency Designation (IBDC.D) in July 2024.
As a successful entrepreneur, Alison McQueen exhibits many core leadership qualities including fiduciary expertise, skilled negotiation, business strategy, collaboration, public speaking, and research analysis. She regularly publishes her opinions and ideas in well-recognized industry publications.
