Jerry LeBlanc, NFEC Certified Financial Education Instructor, has more than 18 years of experience in the financial services industry with a successful history of providing well-reasoned financial services to his clients. His breadth of experience and knowledge provides each client with straightforward solutions to complex personal financial matters.

Throughout his career, Jerry has developed a passion for helping his clients and community understand topics related to money, credit, personal financial planning and wealth building. He has developed educational training programs, conducted presentation workshops, benefit fairs, served clients in under-served communities and facilitated classes designed for adult learners; mentoring clients and members of his community throughout their life and career development.

I believe in a community holistic approach to the financial literacy and education, as it allows for enlistment of participation in the learning and development of the community, helping to make resolution to action toward individual and community financial planning and wealth building goals.

“I think life-long learning, particularly in regard to financial wellness topics, is a foundation of a free-society”. In today’s economy, financial literacy is not just about how to attain and maintain a bank account and credit card, but also maintaining adequate employment, housing, insurance and other means of being a productive, happy, and healthy citizen. The topic of financial literacy and wellness is of particular importance within under-served and racial and ethnic minority communities, as it correlates to overall physical and mental health well-being.

Jerry has been a successful Bank Manager of branches with office growth of over $100 million dollars in receivable financial and insurance products, and is currently a recognized Retirement Planner and finance speaker working in Retirement Pension plans and Financial Training Development programming. Jerry has an uncanny ability to communicate effectively to students, clients and families as he provides an informed perspective on financial literacy as it relates to real life situations. He is an A-plus resource for students and families who want to be more aware of their financial responsibilities. Jerry employs a traditional lecture format along with the cutting-edge “flipped classroom” format, which empowers student learning by leveraging online video lectures, practical examples, and instructor-led activities and discussions. This approach results in a level of interaction that’s crucial for the behavioral changes needed to master the core competencies of financial literacy.

Jerry participates actively within his community through volunteer work as a volunteer teacher: teaching citizenship and financial literacy classes to adult lifelong learners, working on Habitat for Humanity home building projects, and being a Big Brothers Program mentor. Jerry is a member of Omega Psi Phi Fraternity Inc., and enjoys fitness and weightlifting along with his passion for watching and attending sporting events, especially college football. Jerry has been married to his loving and beautiful wife Portia for 18 years, who is an elementary school educator. They are parents to their intelligent and inquisitive daughter Avery. The LeBlanc’s reside in Lawrenceville, Georgia in the Metro-Atlanta area.

Jerry LeBlanc holds a Bachelor’s degree in Communication from Georgia Southern University and a Master’s degree in Education from The University of Georgia.
