Personal Dedication Distinguishes Irene Day as Top Expert in the Credit Repair Sector
By Irene Day, Founder and CEO of Hannah Financial, Cleveland, OH

A personal commitment to client education and support is one quality that separates Irene Day, founder and CEO of Hannah Financial in Cleveland, OH, from other credit repair and guidance professionals. Day understands first-hand the value of credit repair, and this experience motivates her daily to provide informed, ethical services to clients across Ohio and around the country.
Irene Day, who has a Bachelor’s degree in Organizational Leadership from Baldwin Wallace University, started her credit repair and professional tax preparation company Irene Day: Money Coach in 2017. Today the company is a multimillion-dollar enterprise with six employees and a client base exceeding 3,000; and is an Accredited BBB member, IRS-authorized provider, and listed on Expertise.com. The firm also has reached four Ohio-based charities with financial education and received three awards.
Day’s company hosted its first credit education workshop in downtown Cleveland in 2018. The success of that workshop and others that followed inspired Irene to want to reach even more people with this valuable service – so in 2019 she launched Irene Day: Money Coach, an online platform and community for individuals seeking real, practical financial education.
Day draws her passion for helping and educating others with credit repair solutions from her personal experience. “In 2014 I paid off $30,000 in debt with money my grandfather left me after he passed,” she explains. “But my credit score only went up 12 points. I was absolutely mortified.” This situation led her down an extensive personal research path, along which she eventually developed a strong interest in the credit repair industry as a whole. “I was able to rebuild my credit scores on my own,” Day adds. “Now I use my platform to teach financial literacy to help people avoid the financial mistakes I made early on.”
Day discovered the National Financial Educators Council (NFEC), a Certified B Corporation and IACET Accredited Provider of financial education and advocacy, in 2018. She completed the NFEC’s extensive training to earn designation as a Certified Financial Education Instructor (CFEI®), setting her apart as one of the most highly-qualified personal finance educators in the nation. CFEIs demonstrate their competency in both content knowledge and pedagogical best practices; and meet top national standards for ethics and professionalism.
Further underscoring her expertise, Irene Day recently was selected as an Advisory Board member for the Ohio Financial Educators Council – the state chapter of the NFEC. Advisory Board members are charged with promoting financial wellness initiatives and strengthening statewide communities with financial empowerment education. Day was chosen to represent the state of Ohio due to her positioning as an expert in her field, passion for and active participation in the financial wellness movement, and history of providing principled professional services with integrity.
When asked her thoughts about being chosen for the Advisory Board, Day commented, “I am incredibly honored. This is my opportunity to make a difference by leveraging my education, experience, and network to continue to build and implement financial literacy programs throughout Ohio and beyond.”
