Bringing the Worlds of Medicine and Money Together: Dr. Kimberly Derezil
Women are losing money because of menopause. Most of them don’t even know it’s happening. Dr. Kimberly Derezil is dedicated to helping women name what’s happening, understand what it’s costing, and take real steps to reduce it.
Dr. Derezil is a double board-certified physician, Menopause Society Certified Practitioner, and Certified Wealth Manager. That combination is rare – and it’s the reason she sees what most people miss.
Medicine and money are two worlds most people experience separately. But the space between them is exactly where some of the biggest financial losses happen – especially for high-performing women going through midlife health changes they were never taught to recognize or name.
Through her work with Meno & Money, Dr. Derezil created a framework within the Menopause Tax™ – the real financial cost of perimenopause and menopause. Rising health expenses.
Missed promotions. Declined contracts. Lower productivity. Growing wealth gaps. These costs start years before most women ever get a diagnosis.
She joined the Advisory Board of the National Financial Educators Council because financial education has to include the biological and medical realities that shape how women earn and build wealth.
She can show an employer why menopause is a workforce financial issue. She can show a woman how the symptoms she’s been brushing off are quietly draining her paycheck, her career, and her future wealth. She speaks both languages – medicine and money – clearly and simply. And she turns complex clinical and financial data into practical steps women can use right away.
Dr. Derezil’s commitment is to show up as both educator and advocate – making sure the Menopause Tax™ is recognized, named, and addressed as a financial wellness issue that deserves a seat at the table.
