Three Decades of Community Involvement to Advance Financial Wellness: Ana Salazar
For more than 30 years, I have dedicated my career to helping individuals improve their financial well-being and create brighter futures. My professional experience spans retail banking, leadership, coaching, financial wellness education, and program development. Today, I serve as Assistant Vice President and Program Manager for the U.S. Bank Goals Coaching Program, where I lead a team of certified coaches who help individuals achieve personal, professional, and financial goals through coaching, education, and accountability.
My background uniquely positions me to serve on the National Financial Educators Council Advisory Board because I have seen firsthand that financial education alone often is not enough. People frequently know what they should do, yet still struggle to take meaningful action. Through years of coaching individuals from diverse backgrounds and life stages, I have learned that confidence, clarity, accountability, and support often make the difference between intention and achievement.
My goal in serving on the Advisory Board is to help expand access to high-quality financial education while also advancing conversations about behavior change, financial confidence, and long-term goal achievement. I believe financial wellness should be accessible, practical, and actionable for everyone, regardless of income level, age, or life circumstances.
Throughout my career, I have worked with customers, non-customers, employees, college students, and community members seeking to navigate financial decisions and pursue important life goals. These experiences have reinforced my belief that financial wellness is about much more than money. It influences stress levels, relationships, career growth, physical health, and overall quality of life.
It is an honor to serve on the National Financial Educators Council’s Nevada Chapter Advisory Board. I look forward to contributing my experience, advocating for stronger financial capability initiatives, and helping advance efforts that empower individuals and communities to achieve lasting financial wellness.
