Personal Statement
My journey into finance began on the front lines – working in banking and later with H&R Block, where I sat across from people every day who were trying to make sense of their financial lives. I saw firsthand how a lack of understanding could cause anxiety and missed opportunities, but also how education could instantly shift someone’s confidence and outlook. That experience shaped my belief that financial literacy is more than a skill – it’s a form of empowerment. Over time, I transitioned into strategic consulting and founded Biddles Group, an investment education brand and financial strategy firm that helps individuals and organizations make informed, intentional financial decisions. My purpose has always been to make finance feel accessible, clear, and hopeful – to replace confusion with strategy and fear with forward motion.
I’ll never forget one of my early clients – a single mother who came in during tax season feeling defeated. She was working two jobs, trying to save, and said she felt like she’d “never get ahead.” We went over her budget, found opportunities to adjust her withholdings, and developed a savings plan that worked for her reality. When she returned the next year, she was smiling. She had an emergency fund, her credit score had improved, and for the first time, she was talking about investing. That moment changed me. I remember the sound of her relief – that deep exhale when she realized she wasn’t stuck. It reminded me that every financial breakthrough starts with knowledge, and that financial wellness can truly change lives.
My passion for financial education comes from moments like that – from realizing how many people simply need guidance, not judgment. There was a point early in my career when I couldn’t help everyone the way I wanted to because I didn’t have the platform or tools yet. That became my turning point. I decided to build something bigger: a space where education, strategy, and technology intersect to make wealth-building attainable for all.
Today, being part of the financial wellness movement allows me to carry that mission forward. Through Biddles Group, I help bridge education and innovation, offering people tools, insights, and confidence to take control of their financial futures. This campaign aligns perfectly with my goal: to empower communities through accessible, real-world financial knowledge and to show that with the right guidance, anyone can build wealth that lasts.
