The Certified Financial Education Instructor training provides you everything you need to earn your credentials and become a highly-qualified and respected financial educator.

FAQs: Top 7 Most Frequently Asked Questions

Can I use the CFEI logo after I graduate? Yes. You will receive a Certificate, CE credit letter, and a logo for your use.
Is $297 the total cost of everything to take the training and receive my Certification? Yes. $297 is the total cost (state tax may apply). There are no other fees to earn your Certification.
How many hours in the CFEI training and what is the schedule? The course is self-paced; most people take about 40 hours to finish. Financial professionals and educators take about 30 hours to complete.
Why is enrollment limited? We provide each person enrolled with a personal consultant who provides one-on-one phone consultation and personal support. Enrollment is opened and closed based on consultants’ schedules.
Are there ongoing training requirements and annual fees? Yes. 3 to 5 hours of ongoing training is required every other year and the annual investment is $97 starting in year 2.
How long do I have to complete the course? There is no time limit and the training is self-paced. However, to maximize retention, we recommend taking between 2 to 8 weeks to complete. We do offer an optional 8-week instructor-paced course as well which you may join at no added cost.
I would like to work with others in the training. Can I? Yes, options exist to work with others signed up for the course via our Forum – the Financial Education Champions Forum.
