Financial Wellness as a Path to Stability, Opportunity, and Success: Patrina Dixon
As a newly appointed Advisory Board Member, I am honored to support and advance the mission of promoting financial wellness and economic empowerment within our communities. My professional journey has been centered around financial education, advocacy, and helping individuals gain the knowledge and confidence needed to make informed financial decisions. As the Founder and CEO of It’$ My Money, I have built a platform dedicated to educating high school students, adults, entrepreneurs, and organizations on personal finance, entrepreneurship, wealth-building, and financial literacy. I am a Certified Financial Education Instructor, Registered Financial Consultant, two-time #1 bestselling author, speaker, and community advocate. Through workshops, speaking engagements, curriculum development, books, and digital content, I have had the opportunity to reach individuals from diverse backgrounds and help make financial education more practical, relatable, and accessible.
Serving on this Advisory Board aligns closely with both my professional experience and my personal mission. I strongly believe that financial wellness is one of the most important tools for creating stability, opportunity, and long-term success. Unfortunately, many individuals and families still lack access to quality financial education and resources that can help them confidently navigate budgeting, saving, credit management, investing, entrepreneurship, and long-term financial planning. My goal as a board member is to help expand awareness, increase access to financial wellness initiatives, and support efforts that equip people with the knowledge and tools needed to improve their financial futures.
My motivation for being part of this movement is deeply rooted in my passion for service and community impact. Throughout my career, I have seen firsthand how financial education can transform lives. I have worked with students preparing for adulthood, employees seeking financial stability, aspiring entrepreneurs building businesses, and families working toward financial independence. These experiences continue to reinforce my commitment to advocacy and education. Financial literacy is not just about understanding money; it is about creating confidence, reducing stress, opening doors to opportunity, and helping individuals build generational wealth and long-term security.
I am uniquely positioned to contribute to this campaign because of my ability to connect with people from all walks of life and deliver financial education in a way that is engaging, practical, and empowering. Through my company and community outreach efforts, I have created programs and experiences that make financial concepts easier to understand and apply in everyday life. I understand the importance of meeting people where they are and creating safe, judgment-free environments where learning and growth can take place. My experience working with schools, nonprofits, faith-based organizations, businesses, libraries, and community groups has also allowed me to understand the different financial challenges people face at various stages of life.
As an Advisory Board Member, I look forward to collaborating with fellow leaders, advocates, and organizations that share a commitment to improving financial wellness outcomes. I am excited to contribute ideas, support outreach initiatives, amplify awareness efforts, and help create meaningful opportunities for education and empowerment. I believe that together we can help normalize financial conversations, strengthen financial capabilities within communities, and ensure that more individuals have access to the resources and support they need to thrive.
I am grateful for the opportunity to serve on this board and to be part of a movement that is creating positive and lasting impact. I remain committed to using my experience, voice, and platform to help advance financial wellness initiatives and inspire individuals to take control of their financial futures with confidence and purpose.
