Financial Wellness as a Tool for Freedom and Autonomy: Jannese Torres

As an award-winning financial educator, author, and host of the Yo Quiero Dinero podcast, I bring over five years of experience empowering first-generation professionals and entrepreneurs to achieve financial freedom. My background in engineering, combined with my experience as an NFEC certified financial educator and over a decade of hands-on experience building multiple six-figure businesses, gives me a unique blend of analytical rigor and real-world insight. I’ve helped thousands of Latinas transform their relationship with money through accessible, culturally relevant education that bridges the gap between personal finance theory and practical application.

My goal in joining this financial wellness campaign is to expand access to high-quality, relatable financial literacy resources, particularly for underserved and underrepresented communities. As a proud Latina and first-generation wealth builder, I’m deeply motivated to break cycles of scarcity and misinformation that have kept many of us from building lasting wealth. I want to be part of an advocacy movement that not only teaches financial skills but also shifts mindsets, showing people that wealth is a tool for freedom and self-determination.

Through my platform, I’ve built an engaged community of hundreds of thousands who trust my guidance on topics like entrepreneurship, investing, and generational wealth. This reach, coupled with my ability to translate complex financial concepts into approachable, culturally resonant messages, uniquely positions me to help raise financial wellness at scale. My expertise lies in making financial education inclusive, actionable, and inspiring and I aim to bring that same impact to the Advisory Board.
