Bio

Ted Schmidt has worn many hats pursuing his passion to help people reach their potential, and empower them to have better lives.  His personal story is filled with financial struggles and the challenge to reach his full potential.  In the changing world in which we live, Ted has had to reinvent himself several times changing careers to adapt to the economy.

A graduate of the University of Florida with degree in Finance, Ted started his own firm in the entertainment industry as a manager, agent and producer providing music and entertainment to corporations, charity fundraisers, and private parties on a national basis. He worked with artists as varied as Sinatra, Cher, Aretha Franklin, Willie Nelson, Oingo Boingo, and many others.  His client base included the NFL, Johnson & Johnson, Presidential Inaugural Balls, and numerous non-profit organizations.  In the process, many struggling artists have sought out Ted for guidance on their future careers and finances. When the Great Recession tanked his market niche, Ted dusted off his finance degree and moved into the financial services industry.

Currently a Real Estate, Insurance and Business Broker, Ted currently has over 1,000 clients who look to him for guidance on their finances.  He has served as board member of various non-profits including two different Christian schools, chairing budget and financial assistance committees for these schools.  Serving as a basketball and soccer coach at these schools has helped sharpen his ability to motivate individuals.  He is the founder of TheTaxProNetwork, a referral service for tax professionals, and also the founder of Free Market Ministries, a free consultation service for entrepreneurs.  As an educator, he has taught photography, speech & debate, entrepreneurship, and business to home school students, summer camps, and online classes.

Ted believes the efficient management of personal finances enables one to enjoy more freedom in their life.  As a Certified Financial Education Instructor, Ted delivers financial wisdom and advice in an entertaining and lively manner sharing relevant stories from his careers and non-profit activities.
