Tasha Nelson, Financial Coach & Financial Literacy Advocate
Bio

As an educator, entrepreneur, and financial coach, Tasha Nelson is the quintessential triple-threat. She specializes in helping individuals and entrepreneurs establish financial goals, create a tailored strategy, and change the way they think about money.
Her passion for financially literacy was first ignited in the 10th grade when she was a part of a pilot program. It was at this moment; Tasha decided that poverty was not her destiny, and that her purpose was to help others realize the same.
Let’s be clear–This is not your traditional Money 101 approach. In fact, in her interactive signature talk, “Moving Forward…You Need Me,” Tasha will show you why traditional approaches and “one-size fits all” programs simply don’t work.
Tasha received her Bachelors Degrees in Business Administration and Accounting from Franklin University in Columbus, Ohio. Further, she received a Master of Accounting and Financial Management at Keller Graduate School of Management. She is a Certified Professional Coach from the Center for Coaching Institute and a Certified Financial Education Instructor from the National Financial Educators Council. Her experience working for Fortune 500 companies, financial, not-for-profits, and the private sector gives a big-picture perspective on financial issues.
When she’s not speaking, Tasha aims to make a difference in the community. Before moving to Texas, she was a community partner with the Greater Linden Development Corporation H.O.M.E. Buddy program.
