Rachael Hanible Earns Distinction as 2025 Financial Education Instructor of the Year
The prestigious Financial Education Instructor of the Year (FEIY) Award for 2025 was awarded to Rachael Hanible, a Certified Financial Education Instructor® and founder of Missing Peace Financial Group in the Greater Philadelphia area. Rachael has reached thousands of children and teens with financial education across more than 140 schools, universities, programs, and nonprofit groups over the past 12 years. Through Missing Peace Financial Group, she also conducts effective financial coaching for adults.
The National Financial Educators Council established the FEIY Award in response to the evidence base indicating that educators have the single most significant influence on people’s financial wellness. Each April, the award recognizes an educator who has made an extraordinary impact in the financial education arena across the previous year. Three award criteria are applied to select this distinguished individual: education, awareness, and sustainability. Rachael Hanible has proven her excellence in all three categories.

Education
Rachael Hanible has been teaching financial wellness skills and strategies since 2011. After reaching certain money goals, she started her educational endeavors by spending two years teaching and coaching others in her neighborhood with basic financial education for free. She helped the parents and grandparents of her old classmates understand their retirement options, benefit packages at work, banking, investing, and how credit works.
Today, as founder of Missing Peace Financial Group, Rachael teaches children and coaches adults in essential financial wellness skills, focusing on such topics as banking, budgeting, credit, investing, and entrepreneurship. Hanible has developed a full financial literacy curriculum to reach children starting at the age of three. On the adult side, she has coached countless clients to clarify their personal finance goals and create action plans to reach those goals.
Awareness
Rachael advocates to raise awareness about the financial wellness movement through multiple channels. In 2018 she published an interactive children’s book about money, “Amber’s Magical Savings Box.” Her Barnes and Noble tour after the book’s release included almost 20 sold-out stops and the book has become a best-seller. Rachael has received numerous awards for her financial education work.
Hanible also is a renowned motivational speaker who tours with her “Millionaire in Training” workshops. She has been featured on Fox 29’s “Good Day Philadelphia” show and CBS News Philly; and in the magazines xoNecole.com, Love Now Media, Signature Bride, and Canvas Rebel. Rachael has hosted money segment on The Source Radio, WURD Radio station, an urban talk radio station in Philadelphia.

Sustainability
Rachael Hanible adds a sustainability component to her financial education efforts by making all her classes interactive, engaging, and adaptable. She draws on current events, pop culture, games, and love to create a fun, judgment-free zone for financial literacy education. Her stated mission is to “give the next generation of Millionaires a head start on the road to financial freedom.”
Rachael forges strong and lasting partnerships with schools, higher education institutions, nonprofit groups, and community organizations to expand her program reach and impact. This successful networking also helps ensure that the financial education achieves sustainability over time.
Personal Reasons
Rachael grew up in a poor neighborhood where, as she often says, “The hope was low and the crime was high.” It bothered her that there were no financial literacy classes for kids or teens in her school or in her area. So she set out to teach herself about all things money. She knew the best way to teach others about financial freedom is to be financially free herself.
Today Rachael is completely debt-free – having paid off her mortgage, student loans, car and credit card debt. She also has a perfect 850 credit score. Now her mission is to apply what she learned to “help ordinary people reach extraordinary goals.”
