Build Your Professional Network through Social Impact Campaign
The NFEC provides local and regional financial service providers with ways to expand their professional networks through our community financial wellness social impact campaign.
When building a business or social impact campaign, relationships are an essential piece of each initiative’s success. Strategic relationships across key community sectors can provide ongoing benefits to those working in financial services.
Without a ‘cause,’ relationships can take longer to develop and your pitch to form these partnerships feels like the same thing your competitors are offering. Adding the financial wellness cause to your relationship-building strategy gives you a unique reason to reach out and initial conversations can center around a shared mission. This value alignment helps build trust over time, which is essential to establish lasting relationships.
Advisory Board
The NFEC’s State & Local Advisory Board members come from diverse backgrounds, yet share one common goal – to help push the financial wellness movement forward. Board members serve in a variety of roles to support the Leadership Team to develop leading educational resources, expand our business, and create positive social change.
Only one board member from each of the categories below are eligible to serve – which limits competition and helps you connect with other Board Members who have non-competing interests.

Beneficiary Organizations
Your participation in the community financial wellness campaign provides beneficiary organizations (nonprofits, schools, small businesses, and other groups) with resources and support that help them develop financial education programming.
We build relationships with these groups in your community and credit you with the donation of financial wellness programming. As they access the resources and engage with the materials, they become aware of you and your organization. This connection also provides you with opportunities to speak and interact with them through various promotions and programming.

Local Centers of Influence (COIs)
Without a good reason, building local relationships with influencers becomes challenging. Financial wellness gives us a powerful social cause that helps your campaign director build relationships with fellow leaders in your community.
We reach out to government groups, influencers, trade associations, and other organizations that help promote financial wellness and foster relationships that can benefit your business.

Local Promotions & Events Opportunities
Deepen the relationship between Board Members and local partners through participating in NFEC-led local promotions and events. Although this step is optional, the added engagement can help you develop personal relationships and expand your network.
The monthly promotions are all focused on financial education. We lead select promotions on your behalf and you can participate in all the promotions with the resources we provide through our community financial wellness campaign. Each promotion gives you ways to increase awareness, align your business with financial wellness, and connect with others in your community.
