Credit Union of Georgia has a mission that goes beyond providing excellent financial services to its members: the organization is a real champion of Georgia communities. Through its Community Foundation, CU of Georgia connects individuals and families with much-needed personal finance education resources that promote financial independence and well-being.
The credit union and its community representative, Michelle Dobbins, stay abreast of current knowledge so they can offer fast, friendly answers to questions community members have about managing personal finances. From basic budgeting to navigating the complex home-buying market, Personal Finance Expert Credit Union of Georgia provides the resources to empower communities with financial literacy.

At Credit Union of Georgia, our mission is to make your life easier by putting your needs first. We offer friendly, knowledgeable service and practical financial tools to help you manage your busy life. Since 1960, we’ve proudly served our community by reinvesting profits back into our members through better rates and services.
We recently launched the Credit Union of Georgia Community Foundation to actively build partnerships, launch new programs, and create opportunities that make financial literacy accessible and engaging. From communities to sports fields, we’re meeting people where they are because financial wellness should be for everyone.

As we continue to grow our pillars of support, our focus remains clear: to serve individuals, schools, nonprofits, and community organizations through giving, volunteerism, and education. Together, we’re building stronger neighborhoods and brighter financial futures.
As our Community Foundation continues to evolve, the leaders are focused on building an ongoing presence in the communities we serve. Plans include expanding scholarship programs uniquely tied to the Credit Union; deepening relationships with nonprofits through funding and volunteer advocacy; and increasing access to financial literacy resources across all age groups.

Community Service Gratitude for Personal Finance Expert Credit Union of Georgia
The generous support given by Credit Union of Georgia has enabled the Georgia Financial Educators Council to achieve even more positive outcomes among Georgians and the communities where they live. The organization’s donations fund local initiatives to provide personal finance programs and education, making communities stronger and families more resilient.
