Lynn Demmons – Financial Educator, Inspirational Speaker & Financial Literacy Advocate

Personal Notes

LynnDemmons_400wIn life, as in basketball, rebounding is important. To win, you must learn to rebound your finances. Everyone has taken shots and missed. But don’t let that cause you to live in shame and regret. Step up to the line and shoot again using the three key steps I followed to hit nothing but net:

1) Keep your knees bent. Metaphorically, it’s all about position.
2) Keep your hands in the air-not in your purse or your pockets. Reaching to spend could have led the problems you are facing today.
3) Get into position with a strong base and prepare to stay the course. Consistency matters!

With knowledge, preparation, planning and assistance, you CAN rebound financially. Go for the win. Let me – Coach Lynn – show you how!

Bio

Lynn Demmons, speaker, mentor, consultant, and financial rebound coach, partners with individuals and businesses helping each discover the purpose, priorities, and motivation to achieve generational wealth. Her simple yet practical, effective systems empower clients to grow and focus on outcomes not incomes. As a result, her clients achieve the best financial life for their purposes. Lynn’s philosophy is “Be generous with what you have- no matter how big or small; results will follow.”

One single force can change anything in your life and that is the power of choice. As a financial educator, Lynn’s mission is to empower people in making the choice to take control of their finances. Ultimately, she believes those choices should not begin in adulthood. They are learned processes which should originate early in life. As a result, Lynn incorporates empowerment in her advocacy for all. By cultivating strategic alliances with community based partners, the former classroom teacher, administrator, manager and South Carolinian finds gratification in providing services to support equity, access and excellence for all. Her goal is sole and simple – to ensure everyone she encounters has the tools to live their best life. Demmons strives to provide options, returning the focus to the single force of choices.

As populations of the United States and the South continue to change, educational achievement is not keeping pace. Many young men of color are not achieving at the rate of other groups. In comparison minority females are graduating high school and college at a higher rate than minority males. This wasted talent imposes economic and emotional costs on minorities and on society as a whole (Gonzales, 2010).

Lynn is working to change the phenomenon that Gonzales spotlighted in 2010. She does it through comprehensive financial education services designed to increase scholastic, career or entrepreneurial opportunities for everyone. With young adults and adults alike, her emphasis is on financial wellness. She offers professional development training for individuals, parents, veterans, businesses and faith-based organizations. Lynn focuses on fiscal best practices which are based on research, trends and issues affecting the economic stability of today’s society.

Lynn Demmons is a Certified Financial Education Instructor of the National Financial Educators Council program (NFEC) and an active member of Personal Finance Speakers Association (PFSA). She holds a BS degree in Biology from Limestone College, a MEd in Educational Leadership from UNC Charlotte, and an EdS in Organizational Leadership from Nova Southeastern University. She looks forward to partnering with you in the near future!
