Financial Education Advocacy: Quarterly Meeting Announcement

We are proud to recognize your commitment to advancing financial literacy and promoting financial wellness in our communities. As a grassroots movement, financial education depends on dedicated advocates like you – and your involvement truly makes a difference.

Each quarter, we host a collaborative meeting to inform, equip, and mobilize individuals who are passionate about driving change. Whether you’re a longtime advocate or just beginning your journey, we invite you to join us for this upcoming session.

Together, we’ll share updates, explore new strategies, and strengthen our collective voice in the movement to make financial education a national priority.

Meeting Focus

1) Elevating Financial Education Standards

Training on the current state of financial education standards within schools and private organizations.

2. Advocacy Toolkit & Training

We’ll discuss how to maximize the use of the advocacy toolkit and leverage the resources to promote higher education standards.

3) Cross-sector Engagement for Systemic Change

Identifying key agencies, elected officials, and local leaders to engage. We’ll strategize how to mobilize diverse stakeholders – from schools and nonprofits to the legislative community – to build pressure for formal recognition and lasting change.

Registration & Attendance

To foster an interactive and productive environment, we are capping attendance at 100 participants per meeting. This limit ensures meaningful discussion and engagement. If you register but are unable to attend, please notify us in advance so we can offer your spot to someone else.

  • Opening Remarks (20 minutes): Led by Vince Shorb, CEO of the NFEC, outlining the vision, strategy, and urgency behind declaring financial instability a Public Health Emergency and integrating financial capability services as a long-term solution.
  • Audience Input (40 minutes): A guided, topic-focused discussion. We welcome thoughtful input and collaboration. Please keep comments aligned with the meeting theme and refrain from promoting products or services.
  • (Optional) Continued Conversation (60 minutes): After the official meeting concludes, we will remain available for informal discussion and deeper conversation with those who wish to stay engaged.
