I believe that assisting families understand, plan and create generational wealth is important. The old saying, “If I knew then what I know today, life would be much better”. Bio
Ms. Penelton James is an NFEC Certified Financial Education Instructor (CFEI), Certified Fraud Examiner (CFE), Certified Internal Controls Auditor (CICA) & Licensed Texas General Lines Agent (Life, Health, and Annuities & Property and Casualty). She is the Managing Director and Co-Owner of Penelton Consulting Services, LLC (PCS). Before becoming a CFEI, she previously worked at major oil & gas corporations such as BHP Billiton, Statoil, Halliburton Energy Services, BP America and Equiva Services, LLC in accounting, internal audit, and financial services departments throughout her 28-year career.
Diatra is a native Houstonian and was educated in her formative years in the Houston Independent School District. She is also a proud graduate of Texas Southern University, amongst 10 in her family, with a Bachelors of Business Administration Degree in Accounting.
Alongside her 28-year accounting career, she has assisted families & business owners create & preserve wealth thru various insurance products with companies, such as United Healthcare, TexanPlus, Humana, Mutual of Omaha, Transamerica, Aetna, Blue Cross/Blue Shield, Allstate Benefits & Farmers Insurance. Because of her passion for helping families secure & generate wealth, she hosted her own radio show on www.kvrnradio.com called “Knowledge Is Power—Insurance Hour”. She knows that financial literacy goes hand in hand with her passion and knowledge to further help families create and preserve generational wealth. Her motto is “A Financially Healthy Family Is A Wealthy Family”.
Known as a gifted strategist and tactician, who thrives at consistently meeting and exceeding established goals and objectives, Diatra is comprised of incomparable organizational, negotiation, advocacy, and mediation dexterities. Remarkably, she is known as an eloquent communicator and valuable team player.
She is a member of Off The Field Players’ Wives Association, NFL Alumni – Spouse, National Financial Educators Council, Association of Certified Fraud Examiners, and Association of Certified Internal Controls Auditor. She serves as Bee Busy Wellness Center’s (A Federally Qualified Health Center) Board Treasurer and is Co-Founder of “Love Away From Home”. She has served as Board Member and Board Treasurer on several other organizations.
