Now more than ever, Financial literacy and personal finance training has become more accessible to reverse poverty. About 80% of professional athletes will lose their fortunes within 5 years of retirement, and we’ve discovered why this phenomenon occurs! I’ve made it a personal mission to input preventative measures for not only athletes, but everyday individual professionals approaching their respective industries. As a former professional athlete, I take pride in utilizing my personal experience to provide a financial education programs that encourages incredible personal transformation. My mission is to use this knowledge as a preventative measure to create a prosperous path our lineage can follow into prosperity!
Bio
Darrin “Boomer” Williams, a Certified Personal Finance Expert, is the chief executive officer of Vertex Credit & Financial! This firm provides financial coaching & credit education for aspiring/established professional athletes in their industry. Although Vertex services at risk & underserved markets, they also partner with schools, colleges, universities, businesses, nonprofits and government agencies. Williams uses his experience as a Retired professional basketball champion to assist a successful financial transition for participants. From credit building to obtaining sound money management skills, all participants will receive tangible results and recommendations to work towards their financial goals. Education: Williams has received his bachelor’s degree from Loyola University of Chicago, with a major in Communications & Business Management. He also has acquired his Masters Degree in Human Resources from the Forbes School of Business & Technology (University of Arizona). He holds several certificates, including Certified Financial Education Instructor from the National Financial Educators Council, and in Social Entrepreneurship from the University of Detroit Mercy School of Business Administration. Awards & Recognition: Sponsored by the Macomb County’s MCBE committee, “Boomer” received the prestigious Athletic Leadership Award for his work internationally in professional sports.
