Personal Statement
After graduating from UC Santa Barbara with a degree in Political Science, I started my career in the financial industry as a teller. Interacting with individual members at this level showed me early on that I feel passionate about helping people. Now, as President and CEO of Pasadena Federal Credit Union, I’ve made a broader commitment to empower people toward reaching greater financial security at the community level. My focus is on supporting my fellow Californians to achieve financial wellness in both current and future economic conditions. I plan to bring my education and experience to bear to guide individuals toward greater financial wellness and make a positive impact as an advocate for financial literacy.
Financial literacy is essential for the well-being of California communities. I am looking forward to expanding my impact into conducting wider community outreach as a champion of high-quality financial education resources. Through my work at Pasadena Credit Union as well as my contributions to the California Financial Educators Council, I am excited about spearheading initiatives to advance this vital movement.
