Accredited Financial Literacy Professional℠ – AFLP℠ Requirements

Course Summary

The Accredited Financial Literacy Professional℠ course trains professionals to demonstrate advanced-level expertise in analyzing, evaluating, and creating lessons around content knowledge across 10 key financial literacy topics. The course builds upon the Certified Financial Literacy Professional℠ Course to drive learners toward higher-order thinking skill sets around the same topics.

Time / Testing Policy

Training Schedule: Self-paced with scheduled meeting times for peer work.

Training Hours: 80 hours.

Testing: Moderated online testing with a passing score of 80%. Test fee $68 per attempt.

Ongoing Education: Ongoing Training & Testing Requirements: 3 years after earning certification and completed within 9 months to maintain good standing. Produce content of 5,000 to 8,000 words displaying your expertise in any of the topics covered in the course. Content can be created in any medium; however, if provided in video or audio, the content also must include a script representing the required word count. A grade of 80% or better is required to pass and opportunities are provided to improve work if the score falls short of passing on the first or second attempt.

Prerequisite: Completion of the Certified Financial Literacy Professional℠ course and in current good standing.
