As a military veteran and financial coach, I have experienced financial stresses, from deployments to debts, advancement to separation, and all the joys and frustrations in between. My mission is to train and guide you along the course of financial wellness. I provide the educational resources, in-depth analysis, and accountability partnership to set you on the right track.

Tidewater Personal Financial Consulting, LLC, was established in 2021 to guide military members and civilians to better financial futures. It is led by Patrick Schmitt, a veteran and NFEC Certified Personal Financial Wellness Consultant. His expertise is financial literacy for the 21st century warfighter or civilian.
Understanding key career events of advancement or promotion, deployment, and transition from military to civilian life, as well as how each affects finances, are all part of his knowledge base. Personal life events like getting married, having kids, and buying a house are equally important. Patrick has weathered all of them and more, and is ready to help you with your financial goals. His program focuses on your unique situation and helps you navigate through challenges to a brighter future.
Throughout his time in the service, he noticed a lack of personal financial training at all levels. While there are some resources available, most are general and not tailored to your unique situation.
His mission is to provide the requisite training and mentorship to ensure fellow service members are knowledgeable and prepared for their financial futures. He provides time critical analysis and long term thinking to help you keep your finances on track.
