Personal Statement

My journey is driven by a profound desire to make a meaningful impact. I thrive on collaborating with companies to enrich their employees’ lives through financial education. By providing comprehensive financial education, we can ensure that each individual gains valuable insights into building credit, saving for the future, and mastering essential life skills. Together, we can cultivate financial wellness that extends far beyond the balance sheet, creating a foundation for long-term success and prosperity.

I came to Savannah, GA from the blue-grass state of Kentucky in 1992 with a business franchise relocation. As CEO of my company, my position as a successful businesswoman allowed me to partner with local businesses, individuals, and community nonprofits as an advocate to help them start and successfully run a small business. I ran my sales and service corporation serving Coastal Georgia and the Low Country for over 13 years.

In 2005, I chose to use my financial expertise in small business and love for community to venture into a new career path after having been recruited into the “Megabank World.” There I quickly mastered every area of banking leadership, including consumer and commercial lending and small business banking. In 2012, I was promoted into branch management at a local community bank where I eventually served as Assistant Vice President.

Later I spearheaded the merger and acquisition process of what would result in my banking home, Queensborough National Bank & Trust, where I advanced my career as the Retail Operations Branch Manager. I gained yet another promotion as the Q-Works Program Coordinator in 2016. This position allowed me to do what I love most: serving my business community by teaching financial literacy in all areas and levels of consumer and business banking finance.

In July of 2017, my family and I moved to Effingham County where we currently reside. My roots come from a solid foundation of faith, family, and love for my family’s farm where I grew up. I just celebrated 41 years of marriage to my “Superman,” Alvis, who is employed at Georgia Pacific. We have one son who earned his BFA Degree in Sound Engineering from Savannah College of Art & Design.

I enjoy serving my community as a Balloon Artist where I focus on teaching kindness and the “Beatitudes” as Ms. T & Stinger the Bee, “Bumble Bee Ballooning.” This calling encourages our youth and seniors in assisted living. Additionally, I enjoy global mission work and folklore storytelling.
