How the NFEC Serves CFEI Candidates

We share a common goal with every CFEI® candidate: your success. The sooner you earn your credential, the sooner you can help advance our shared mission of empowering people with financial knowledge. That’s why the Certified Financial Education Instructor (CFEI®) program comes with a full support system and a vibrant professional community to guide you – not just during training, but throughout your career.

Whether your focus is sharpening teaching skills, launching new programs, or building credibility as a financial educator, you’ll never be on your own. Our layered support includes real-time guidance, expert-led sessions, peer networking, and ongoing professional development – ensuring that you stay connected, confident, and equipped to make a lasting impact.

Help When You Need It

We provide multiple layers of support so you can always get answers and keep your training on track:

  • Personal Onboarding Call – A one-on-one walkthrough to help you get started. Most learners find the platform easy to use and start the training, but this call is available if you’d like extra guidance.
  • Email & Chat Support – Quick help is just a click away. Chat is available from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Central Time, and all emails receive a response within one business day.
  • Daily Support Calls – Drop in anytime for real-time guidance, troubleshooting, or help with your training.

Live Training Webinars & Community Connections

Every Friday, you’re invited to join a live webinar that features a focused 15–20-minute training followed by an open Q&A. These sessions give you direct access to expert insights while connecting with peers who share your passion for financial education.

One of the most valued aspects of the live webinars is the chance to hear directly from fellow participants. Their stories spark new ideas, offer practical strategies, and provide real-world inspiration for what’s possible in your own programs.

Most webinar sessions (over 90% from 2022 to 2025) are led personally by NFEC CEO Vince Shorb, ensuring that you receive guidance from a seasoned leader who has helped shape the field of financial literacy education.

Advocacy Committee Community

As a CFEI® candidate, you’re also invited to connect with the NFEC’s Advocacy Committee community. This network of educators and leaders is united around a shared mission: raising awareness and expanding access to financial literacy education. By joining during your training, you gain the chance to collaborate with peers, exchange ideas, and see firsthand how others are putting financial education into action.

Participation also builds momentum for your future role as a credentialed educator. Even before graduation, you can engage in NFEC campaigns, contribute your perspective, and start positioning yourself as part of a national movement that values credibility and impact. Becoming active in this community while you’re enrolled helps you build connections, strengthen your voice, and prepare to step forward with confidence once you earn the CFEI®.
