Financial Literacy Market |
Recent changes in the economy have renewed our focus on financial capability. Right now, most people across the country are struggling through problems associated with financial illiteracy. Crippling debt, retirement shortfalls, and lack of savings have profound impact on many areas of people’s lives, causing emotional stress, relationship problems, unhealthy coping behaviors, and loss of productivity. And financial issues now cause many students to drop out of college. |
|
Along with the increased attention on financial problems has come a dramatic rise in demand for financial literacy information. The NFEC was featured in a District Magazine cover story article—titled “A Bull Market for Financial Literacy”—describing the burgeoning growth of the financial literacy business. If you look at the numbers, it’s easy to figure out why everyone needs financial literacy training. Yet only a limited number of people currently supply this information.
