The National Youth Financial Educator’s Council is dedicated to increasing youth financial literacy through a variety of products & services that provide a practical financial education.  Our mission is to empower today’s youth with the financial literacy knowledge they need to live the American dream. 

NYFEC produces Money XLive - one of the nation’s largest, full-production, financial literacy events in the country that recently served over 1,100 youth and over 30 nonprofits.  This event brings together celebrities, sport stars, and live acts to teach practical money matters in a full production concert venue. 

NYFEC trains and certifying financial educators to ensure the people teaching financial education matters are qualified and able to get students excited about the message.  Certified financial educators must possess not only practical knowledge of money matters but they must also be able to deliver it effectively so people are educated, engaged & entertained.

Vince Shorb, the founder of NYFEC, was recently declared “the leading youth financial literacy expert” by the OC Register.  Shorb is dedicated to nonprofits that empower youth and serves on the Board of Directors for Junior Achievement, the Advancement Academy & the Brockman Educational Institute.  He has partnered with nonprofit organizations including: Standup for Kids, AIGA Foundation and the Matt Leinart Foundation. 

Vince is author of several financial literacy books and courses.  He has developed the highly acclaimed, multi-media, virtual classroom on financial literacy – ‘Youth Financial Academy’ - which combines YouTube style videos, Podcast, MP3 downloads, interactive tools so students can earn their ‘Certificate in Financial Literacy’. 

Chad Penry is an leader in strategic relationships, lead generation and high-level partnerships.

Chad is Co Founder and President of Money XLive, the leading youth entertainment and educational events teaching young adults financial literacy through live celebrity entertainment.

He is credited with producing some of the biggest celebrity filled events in Orange County including fashion shows, award shows and a host of upscale parties and events.
